I totalled my Ram on Sunday nite. I am lucky to be here typing this, as I danced with a Semi and lost:D

I will post pics as soon as I can

Whoa, sorry to hear that. Glad you are still with us. Sounds like there is no question about the fate of your truck.

It's good your OK better to be in the truck then these little rice burners that get torn up so bad. we've been seeing pictures of this eastern storm, bad stuff ... Chris

E7Mack--I was down in the Oxford area over the weekend and was amazed how even by late Sunday how much ice there was on the freeway, I almost lost it three or four times:-( Glad you are safe...

Glad Your OK!!

We are glad to here you walk away from the wreck, Dodge are like an old Timex watch they take a licking and but some times they don't keep on ticking. .

It pays to be cautious even on just plain WET roads - I usually run my Comp on 3x3 empty and around town, and noticed it was VERY easy to lose traction clear up thru 4 gear when the turbo starts spooling up - and with the limited slip differential, these things will swap ends in a heartbeat!

Let me know

If you think about getting rid of your aftermarket hp goodies give me a pm I would be interested thanks Justin and glad your can still type on the TDR:D

Well, Heres some more details...

Was southbound on I-75 about the 116 mile marker (in Ohio) . I felt the truck slide out to the passanger side. I tried to recover, but it slid too far... I was into the median almost instantly. I tried to recover. The median is like 12-16 ft wide at that point. I was headed striaght for a northbound tractor-trailer. I closed my eyes just before impact, braced myself and prepared for the crash. It was the most horrific sound (me going south at 45 and a semi northbound at 55) I have ever heard. I plowed into him, and was thrown from the driver seat against the passanger door. I was knocked out at this point. I bowed the door out pretty far. Thank God it held. I would be DOA otherwise. I came to after about 5 minutes or so. I freaked at first, as I thought maybe I was sitting in a lane and might get hit again. I then realized that the traffic was stopped both directions. The Highway Patrol was already there, as was the paramedics. I tried to move. I hurt myself really bad. Both knees bleeding, and my left shoulder basically useless. I managed to pry the passanger door open and crawled out. The paramedics were astounded. They said that they expected to need a body bag. My head took out the passanger side door glass, and my back did the same to the door itself.

I am truly lucky to be here today. I could have been thrown out the side, or even through the windshield.

I am amazed at how well the cab area of the truck held up.

THere is nothing left in front of the firewall, nor behind the cab.

Thanks for reading,

E7

I guess if you're gonna take on a Semi best to be in a Ram. Glad to hear you made it our alive, and good to hear the truck held long enough for you to make it.

Kev

Glad you're ok.

Poor semi probably had a Detroit in it. Didn't stand a chance against the Cummins.

Hope you fare as well against the insurance guy. ;)

HOLY CRIPES!!! man I am glad to hear you are OK, sound as if your gaurdian angel was looking after you on this one, they build new trucks all the time but they build only one E7, get better quick and start thinking about what you want in a new truck.

cheers, Kevin

Thank Goodness your Ok wow. That had to be scary feeling. Sorry this happened and am glad to hear you are not In that bag they thought they would need for you. Good luck with your next Ram. :)

appreciate all the kind words!

Thanks to everyone. I will post pics in a few days... You will be amazed.

AS far as a replacement truck (it Will be another Ram)

Should I look for another 2nd gen, or are the 3rd Gens worth looking at?

My truck was a lease, with Gap insurance, so I should walk away clean.

What sucks is I just put a Con FE and another PM 3 on the 2001.

Wonder if the salvage yard will let me have my clutch???;)

Tomorrow, I am going to the lot where it was towed and Am gonna get my possessions, and my pm3. Since the engine is toast, I was thinking about swiping the HX 35 off it too.

let me know

If you salvage them injectors or what ever else you can an want to sell$$$:D Let me know just pm me I am about 20 minutes away from you. I never relised that till I seen this post glad to see another member in the area Thanks Justin

Never even thought about those injectors... . I will try to get them too. The engine is destroyed, they won't need them, LOL
