I lost these two functions at the same time. My shop manual tells me that neither can be repaired; they are to be replaced. Is this correct?
The reason I ask is that this same manual does not tell me how to replace alternator brushes--but gives instructions for alt. replacement. Thanks in advance.
I checked this first, dome light comes on when door opens. Key & headlight chimes are controlled by the PCM :-{} Seems to be typical replace parts mentality of manufacturer. :-{}
There are 3 fuses that feed the Integrated Electronic Module. All are located at the dash fuse panel. #6 25 amp Run-Acc. ,#11 10 amp St-Run and #13 10 amp Batt. Check these because I have not found what a Integrated Electronic module is or where it is yet. All I know so far is that it senses these items.
FOUND IT. Integrated Electronic Module also known as Central timer Module mounted under the drivers side dash monitors hard wired inputs to emit tone for warnings. The ignition and headlight use a common input to detect if they are closed to ground or open.
