Here's some real sickos.....

Not a Cessna I want to fly...er...float in

Lost Dad on the 7th and buried him on the 11th. A per his wishes, the Darke County Honor Guard did gravesite services with gun salute. I gave one of the spent cases to his grandson, and one to his nephew,of the Army and Marines. After the funeral,we drove thirty miles North,to Maria Stein Ohio, where there was a freedom field honoring military and civilian [fire,EMT,police] with the named people having a flag flown in a field in their honor. Each flag had the person honored, and the sponsor. There were FOUR THOUSAND flags there, and this is just a farming and light industry area. I guess pride in American values is still around.

Sorry to hear about the loss of your father over the weekend.

It really is amazing how patriotic this country really is when you don't have the media mucking everything up.

I'm sorry for your loss. You will see him again.

My grandfather passed away in January. We drove to Iowa for his funeral and I also have some of the shell casings from his Honor Guard 21-gun salute. They were retired Army as he was. It was a sad moment but very heartwarming to see the respect shown for him.
