hey guys tonite my 93 workhorse lost the overdrive, speedo and the volt gauge dropped down to 9-10 volts all at the same time. anyone ever experiance this and any help would be much appreciated. thank you
Could be a ground problem. Also check the crankshaft position sensor, because whitout it functioning, the computer will not turn on the alternator. Not sure if the CPS will cause the others to go away by causing the computer to turn off the overdrive.
thanks for the replies guys, thinking the overdrive was electronic and needed 12 volts to function i pulled off the alternator and had it tested. just so happens it failed the test. have to wait till tommorow for the warranty alternator to reach the depot. not to sure if thats how the system works, if not ill be checking the sensors like u guys suggested. thanks mike
