I recently bought a Scanguage for my 01 chassis cab 4x4. When I first hooked it up it worked, but after doing some other work on the truck it would not come on. I tried it on my Jeep and it works fine. In the trouble shooting instructions that come with gauge it says that this is probably a blown fuse in the truck. I have checked the fuses in the side of the dash and the main power panel, I have tried to trace this circuit with the shop manual(with no results, because I can't find the OBD plug in the manual). I have had problems in the past with my other OBD meter not working on this plug. I am hoping someone can tell me where a fuse or fault would be located in this system. Looking for suggestions. G. The wire may have pushed out the back of the connector. Just take a look at the back side of it and make sure all the wires are pushed and snapped into the connector. It is not an unusual thing to happen.

Thanks Billvo I have found that it is a loose wire or something like you suggested because if I push and wiggle the wires the scanguage lights up. They could have hardly put this plug in a more awkward place to see and work on the wiring. Thanks for the help. GBaines

I have found that it is also easy to just bend one pin. not so much on the scan gauge that I have but on my cheapy obd reader. PS on my 85. 5 Dodge the scan gauge works perfect accept it does not alway work the first or maybe the 5th time to clear the codes it will read them but not always clear them. ED does work every time on some other vehicles.
