Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Lost Power

While coming home last weekend pulling a 1500 lbs 4 wheeler trailer at 75 mph on the freeway I had a total power loss as if my foot had came off the throttle. I was in the hammer lane and started to look for a way thru the traffic to get to the right shoulder. I smashed on the throttle and nothing was there. Engine was still running. All of a sudden as I slowed down the transmission downshifted and I had power back. What happened? 275 RV injectors VA full DTT A/t

It sounds like your APPS is going south. I think they are a Dodge only item. I would guess you could do the swap your self, with the help of the good old service manual.

Could be early signs of a VP44, but I would check the APPS first... .
