Leaving work today truck all of a sudden would not go over 1500 rpm. Pulled the codes, there are none. Since it turned cold today and it was hard starting I am wondering if I have a gelling problem.

I am going to get a new filter in the am. I read about Diesel 911 in a number of posts but havent seen it anywhere. Does anybody know if someone on the north side of denver (I am in Louisville CO) has it? If this doesnt work I'll have AAA haul it home tomorrow and work on it at my leisure.

Thanks in Advance, waiting for the wife to pick me up... ... ... .

In my experiences with gelling, you definitely loose power and the engine would not idle right but that doesn't rule it out for you. I don't know exactly how an electronic injection pump would react. I would agree that your fuel filter would be the first place to look. If you get a lot of sludge in there you can have that problem or I suppose if you were having very minor gelling problems, it would probably plug up there first.

Diesel 911 is great stuff but don't use any more than you have to. Last time I checked, it still had alcohol in it which could do a number on fuel lines(at least in older trucks).

Good luck.
