On my way to work this morning ,I noticed a drastic loss of top end power. No get up and go,no umph. None. Seems like someone stole my TST # 6. I'm used to putting my foot in it at 55,seeing a puff of smoke and I'm gone. Now I punch it and I feel just like I'm in my 86 4-runner. It just creeps up to 65 and thats it. No puff of smoke. Won't smoke at all now. Dont know what my boost is because I Have procrastinated about putting them in. Wish I had them now. Any ideas? Please let me know.
 
Lost boost!

I 'm new at this Dodge/Cummins combo but it seems that everytime(For the most part) someone has a problem with lost boost/high egt's it is a leak in one of the hose connection from the turbo to the intake. I really don't like these pieces of hose but I'll have to ask where the turbo guys(Racers) get there good stuff at! Someone else with more knowledge will jump in I'm sure.

Clamps tight

The clamps on intercooler looked good,everything tight. no broken hoses. Checked the 1/8 tubing to afc:OK. Did a search and saw overflow valve mentioned. Could this be problem?Just where is it located?
 
No Power

Another thing to consider is the possiblity of a bad tank full of fuel, possibly loaded with critters which clog the fuel filter.

The overflow valve is in the banjo fitting on the side of the injection pump toward the engine. It's even with the number one delivery valve. If you take it apart make sure you cram a rag in the space between the pump and the engine to catch the banjo washers.
 
BINGO

Found the spring broken in the overflow valve. Replaced it today. Would have got it from Piers for 45 clams but no flights due to the terrorist. Got my umph back;)
