Attention: TDR Forum Junkies
To the point: Click this link and check out the Front Page News story(ies) where we are tracking the introduction of the 2025 Ram HD trucks.

Thanks, TDR Staff

Curious: Drive shaft braking (generator?) ok for autos?

Anyone gotten the module offered by KeithW75?

Do we have a status on the availibility of the gauge mount yet? We discussed that about a month ago. Ya'll still have any interest?

I purchased the dual pod from Genos. Couldnt wait. I guarantee that if the panel was available it would sell.

I am not sure that I recall the prior thread accurately but I sure am interested in a 3 guage pillar mount that will accomodate the fact that the truck that is on its way will have tweeters on the pillars.

I was anxious to obtain one of the LO-Tek mounts so I emailed them the other day and here is the reply I recieved.

We would be glad to investigate doing a run of dodge pickup pillars. The first step is to get a minimum of 20 interested enthusiests. Second is to get an OEM pillar to us for an evaluation. Most full pillar replacement applications (twin pod) run between $39. 99 and $44. 99. We can accomodate 2 or 3 OEM Colors.

A couple of weeks back I emailed Rob Spading about this as he had indicated that he was trying to get them produced and sold through Geno's. He replied that they were working on it, but based on the reply from LO-Tek, and what I have heard from other members, I have to believe that this is a verrryyyy low priority. I am getting to the point that I am going to have to buy a different mount, but I really would prefer the LO-Tek unit.

Any and all people interested in this gauge mount should email LO-Tek and let them know that they have many customers anxious to purchase their product.

If we all keep asking, perhaps something good will come of it... .

Fellow members:

Below is a copy of the e-mail I sent to Lotec this a. m at Craigj's suggestion.

If your interested, pile on.

At the suggestion of a fellow Turbodiesel Register (TDR) member I am advising that I would buy a 3 guage pillar mount which accomodated the tweeters (and isspro guages) for a Dodge ram. My preference would be in the "mist grey" but that is not a "deal breaker" as I understand that paint is available.

Of course the foregoing is contingent on a "reasonable price"

Im interested also in the agate in either dual or triple. I will also email them expressing intrest.

To be quite honest, I have not been working on this for some time. I had been in email communication with Lotek and had aske d some questions regarding availability, pricing, factory mounting method, etc. and I have quite simply dropped the ball. Only so many hours in the day, and my wife is already a computer widow. I will leave it up to you folks -- if you want me to do this, I will redouble my efforts and make it happen. I'll send an A-Pillar to them this week. But, if one of you wants to commit to taking the lead on this, I say go for it.

The benefit of organizing it for ongoing sales through Geno's would be the availability of them throughout the year, for members who may miss the initial order. Let me know if you want me to take the reins again and I'll get busy.

Nelson Buck, Craig J -- let me know.

Rob,

Speaking for myself. I say go for it.

I think there is some interest out there.

BTW, I probably would go for a screw on 3pod mount --that would be o. k. with tweeters, if that was all that was available but as I recall Geno's (or any one else) doesn't have that as an option, presently. OTOH, I do look forward to a full pillar mount, As it would be "cleaner"

There should be some advantage to you and to us for Geno's to go down the road, for all the obvious reason arising from volume potential, etc

I have a current interest 'cause I am between trucks and hopefully will take delivery in a week or so. The first thing I want to do and probably the only thing for some months until I know more about the truck and it's capabilites is put on some guages in a nice clean installation.

Off this topic,

Does the ultimate bbs program allow for an option enabling replyers/repliers (sp) to simultaneously e-mail a posting party with the content of the post to the "forum" such as some newsreader programs allow. If so, I think it would be a nice feature.

Congragulations and thanks on the website/forum changeover. Now that it has been completed and a couple "rocky" days have passed, to me -- it is much improved. To bad I don't know how to integrate my spell checker into the reply feature.

One not so positive change I have noted -- is that prior to the change over my user name and personal password was "remembered" from session to session and now it is not, hence I have to enter that info each time I start a topic or post a reply. Frankly it was easier to type only the forum password in, in order to post a reply (even though I more often than not forgot to do so) #ad

I apologize for making this so long and mostly off-topic but I am going to "select", "copy" and then go back find your e-mail address and e-mail it as well.

Again thanks for this nice service of the TDR I have learned more about the Dodge/Cummins in the last 3 months since I became aware of it (TDR) Than I did through 4 years of ownership of a '96. BTW, I really like the feature of the topic entries showing where each of the posters is from. it makes it (TDR) much more of a "community"

Soon to be on the road again. The darn truck is actually on a UPRR railcar and is presently in Roseville Ca waiting to be moved to Benecia on the 25th. Hopefully it will get to Red Bluff before the end of the week. Whoopie, 3 months w/o one of these wonderful trucks is horrible.

Nelson (I emailed this to you too),

I will probably hit the ground running on Monday on these Pillar mounts, unless I see a strong opposition to that on the forum.

As for the forum not remembering your password. Go to the forum guidelines link at the top and read about how to correct this.

As for the email or spell check options -- they are not available at this time.

Thanks!

Hey rob, count me in for a 2 or 3 pod mount w/tweeter in camel (preferably 3 with the 3rd a knock-out). I'm not too picky though so don't worry about the specifics - anything would be better than the 2 pod add-on mount I'm using. I'll order as soon as it's available.

I really like the idea of a 3 pod with knockout's. I know I want boost, egt, and auto tran temp, ultimately' but an phased approach option would be nice. Knockouts had not previously occured to me.

When I get the truck I'm going to be broke for a while -grin-
