Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Lots of Smoke and Engine Missing

Finally got the twins all hooked up so the pipes won't blow off. Was only running 40 psi and truck started to miss badly. Quite a bit of light colored smoke out the back. Was only a couple miles from home so I limped in.



Took late to tear it apart tonight. I am somewhat at a loss of what it could be. Any suggestions. ??

How were your EGT's?

I did not look at the EGT's was kinda freaking out !

Could it be the VP44? and LP PSI?

I had the same thing happen , light colored smoke at idle and a popping sound at high boost, found a cracked injector tip. Crack the fuel line to one cylinder at a time and if the noise goes away that is the injector thats bad , if thats the problem.

Well, in my case it is a misadjusted intake valve. Live and learn.
