Lots of smoke

I have had a good amount of black smoke on hard acceleration forever, so I (MY WIFE) told me to lessen it. I changed from afe pg7 stage 1 to stage 2, added mbpr 4" stainless, and installed an industrial injection thunder 330. I still have lots of black smoke when the edge cts is on level 5 or 6.



I have been looking into a fass system and possibly injectors. Would low fuel flow give me the black smoke? Just trying to make somebody happy, and I cant figure out how to drop the smoke level.

I am not real sure about the Thunder 330, but I believe it has a 74mm exhaust wheel, and is quite similar to the Silver 62 I ran for a couple of years. If I am correct, this is most likely a slow spooling charger down low, and you are going to smoke, period.

Hate to tell you this, but I am afraid it's true. II sold me the Silver 62 as "the greatest towing turbo ever", I was replacing a failed SPS 62 which was a great towing charger. The Silver was great for an empty truck, all out wot, but lousy for towing, even empty if you lugged the motor or just taking off from a stop it would smoke awful, until it lit.

Check for boost leaks... .

one of my customers had a similiar set up on an 06 he bought..... i pulled the edge added gauges got him a smarty on changed a couple things before downloading and he came back after a cuople days with a huge smile bragging about spool up and and how much the smoke was reduced especially around town... .
