2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Loud clunk in front end when turning left

I have a very loud clunk that is in the front end of my 2500 Quad cab 4wd when I turn to the left cranking the wheel to the absolute left stop. I have no idea what it is and nothing seems apparently loose or broken. It seems like it ought to be a universal joint sound. Any ideas please email me at -- email address removed --.
