I have an 18 year old half Black Lab/Golden Retriever. She will follow me every step outside no matter what the weather. When I am on the tractor, she finds a place to lay down and watch until I finish. I will miss her one of these days.

Wow - you have been really

blessed... 18 years is what I would always like to have... in fact I wish they lived as long as us... ... outside of our loved ones... ... there is nothing like a dog..... they are the best -- and they won't disappoint you like others will us - or as we'll do to others.....

Love her as long as you can.....

We lost our friend last Saturday to bone cancer. He would have been 11 next June 24th. The Wife and I had a lot of fun with Leo, he placed 2nd in basic obedience and 1st in advanced obedience class when he was just a pup. He also received his AKC Good Citizen certificate.

Last summer the wife went to WA to visit the kids, one day while she was gone Leo decided to get a sun and dust bath, to say the least he also got a shower with the hose!! We miss him dearly:{:{:{

Rainbow Bridge

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together... .

Lost my "BAILEY"(American Bulldog) just over a year ago-10 1/2YRS,think about her every day cause i never had a dog that loved riding in my Cummins as much as her. Even pulling wrenches to all hours of the morning she was there in the garage or sitting in the back seat waiting for a ride---even a short ride, to her it was worth it----MISS YA BEAR,LOVE DAD---PS if i ever get on a acerage,a couple of labs will roam the place.
