Attention: TDR Forum Junkies Last year I sold my highly modified 03 4x4, DRW and Lance camper to buy another house.
I put over $15k into this truck including rebuilt/upgraded trans, Buckstop bumper, ATS manifold, Smarty, 60 gal fuel tank, Banks exhaust, Mag Hytec pans, Reese hitch, airbags with on-board compressor, etc, etc, as well as all the upgrades to carry a camper.
Due to a breakup with the GF, I rented the house and began looking at trucks and campers again.
I drove a 13 SRW and thought they definately improved them.
I wasn't to excited about dropping $70k plus on a new truck and camper but there just wasn't much out there on the used market. Used 3rd gen trucks were almost as much as new.
Anyway, while scanning craigslist lol and behold there was my old rig. New owner was selling so he could buy a house. Just as I sold it with only 8k more miles and brand new tires and fluid change. Only 83k mi on truck.
Truck is almost perfect cond except for a broken dually fender (I broke it) but doesn't look too bad, and I think my a/c door is acting up as one side blows warm and one cold as well as intermittent air flow.
Got the package for $37k Camper worth about $15k so got truck for $22k.
Sold it to him for $36k about 15 mo ago.
Love the 3rd gens. He set the Smarty back to stock setting for smog test and I left it stock for the 250 mi trip home towing my Jeep. I normally ran it in the 3 pos with an extra 30 HP and it makes a big difference on throttle response and power.
Maybe in a couple hundred thousand miles, I'll think about a new truck.
