There has to be someone out there who had this issue and resolved it or atleast has some good ideas. I will pressure test the system tomorrow and post results.

So far i changed the map sensor, fuel pressure releif valve, turbo, pinched the WG hose on the new turbo, and all new heavy duty boots ands clamps on all intercooler piping and turbo. I cannot boost past 30ish. I have Smarty stacked with MP8 and those are ruled out as i tried Edge, and Bullydog getting the same results.

Maybe there is a hairline crack in the cfm, or the cooler?

It acts like when there is an intake gasket leak on a gasser.

I have a new turbo which can boost 50 psi efficiently all day and i can't even use it. This SUKS.

I can hook up a drive pressure gauge to it tomorrow but i'm not sure if that will give much useful info in this case.

Please throw some ideas at me no matter how left field you think they may be. I'm desperate

I gotta ask, have your tried a different boost gauge yet or does it go past 35 on one of the tunes?

Since i switched out my Smarty yesterday i loaded SW 5 and haven't changed it because i figured i have to be able to boost at least 40 easily with the MP8 stack even on SW3 or 1. ( i have to thank Kyle from XDP for switching it out for me he is awesome) I have also been switching between a Pricol and Autometer gauge and get the same results. The Autometer gauge starts to flutter past 10psi and the Pricol does not.

Thanks for always replying C i really appreciate your help.

If you have a leak you should hear it. On my old '92 I could hear a whistle and tightened up some clamps and it went away. With a bad intercooler you might not hear it if you can't get the boost high enough. My '93 that I had had a damaged intercooler. It would only make 22psi instead of the 27psi it would normally do. Big $$ for a new intercooler. You might find a deal on one as someone might have upgraded.

I have a feeling that somethuing is leaking somewhere. How do i test the cooler? I was going to go to home depot and rig up a tester with hose and fittings to pump air into the systema nd see if it leaks or holds.

Here's something to try, Go to highway reach 45 MPH, turn cruise on push the accel button and watch your boost climb, once its seems to max out keep Accel Bottom pushed then step on the go Pedal while still holding the accel bottom in,see if the boost will continue to climb pass 34PSI.

I had a low boost situation 3 years ago while on winter vacation. I tried and checked a lot of things, even some high freight charges for over night delivery. Long story short I had a leak in the tubing to the boost guage and no I could not hear the leak. It was silent unlike previous leaks. My 2 cents worth.

OK i will replace my boost gauge tubing i have a spare. Todd i will try ypur idea in a few minutes. I Bypassed my intercooler last night and ran the piping straight to the intake plenum from the turbo to see if the cooler was leaking and no luck.

Thanks guys. Let you know in about an hour.

Todd your modded relief valves work perfectly and the solenoids you sent also work fine. Thank you

Its on the BD Super B Special. I pinched the WG hose and same result. Changed the boost gauge line last night and same again.

Todd i did what you said with the cruise control and i got 5 more psi. What is that all about?

SShafranko, I need to walk you through some steps, it much better to call Me ,I would call this morning ASAP, otherwise I will be Busy all afternoon.

Changed the FCA and RP sensor today and no change. It is not fueling anymore once i hit 30psi. No smoke and EGT stays at 1200 at WOT. It has to be the APPS. IT is not sencing that i am at full throttle i think. I wonder if i could switch it out with one from my friend's truck to try it out? I think i am going to try tomorrow. Does it run off of voltage like the TPS? 5 volts WOT. Can i test the voltage if so and how?

Todd i didn't want to call you back because i figured you were busy. I am going to try calling you tomorrow or call me if you can. If you help me diagnose it i don't have a problem paying you for your time. please call me when you have some time. 201-694-5075

Any info on the fix. I have a weird issue with boost "falling off" at wot and not so much at just less than wot. Any input would be great. Stock turbo.

I am in the middle of getting it worked out. Once i figure it out i will post the results and steps i took. I have a couple more symptoms i noticed. At WOT if i load it down say acceleratinh in 4th instead of third my truck cuts out completely and then is ok if i let off. A couple of times at WOT after cutting out it would start to buck really hard and i would hear a ticking in harmony with the bucking from under my dash near the pedals. Other than that the truck runs fine if i drive it normal. It is definitely running running at around 60% engine power and when i top out at 30psi of boost my fuel is also being cut.

From speaking to Todd over the past couple of weeks he figured out that there is a signal missing or being manipjulated by a bad sensor/wire or something of that sort causing the computer to go into some type of fueling block.

Monday morning i have an appointment with Dodge at 8 am to reset my TIPM, and run the truck on the Star Scanner to see what we could find. There are a few things also happenoing such as the A/C compressor turning on and off on its own, blinkers not functioning properly, etc. which are associated with the TIPM and may be the cause of my boost/fuel issues indirectly.

Todd thanks for the 30 hours of phone conversations, you've been a great help.

I'll post my findings on monday.

When your boost drops off do your EGT's keep climbing and are you seeing black smoke from your tailpiped? In other words do you stop fueling as your boost is drooping off or are you still fueling as it drops off?

Got a light haze but EGT are in check, some days it feels faster than others:mad:. Maybe I've got an issue as too. Did this with the Edge Juice as well.

Update

#@$%!#@$%! I brought the truck to the local dealer. I got lucky and scored a good and helpful tech. We put the truck on the Star Scanner and i say we because he let me stay with him the entire time and chew his ear off which was awesome. He re-flashed my TIPM and ran the truck on the Scanner. He noticed that all parameters were not right and checked for codes. Found one code P0606. I belive the PCM is toast. He re-flashed it in hopes of fixing it but it did not work.

Has any one here had this code and is there anything that could be done before replacing the PCM?

If i have to replace it could someone please steer me in the right direction, meaning where can i purchase one and do i need to send it to someone to program it for my particular truck?

If anyone here is a dealer for the PCM's please contact me as soon as possible.

Thanks in advance

Todd from T&C Diesel mentioned that BoB mey be able to help with this situation. BoB if you have any ideas on a PCM please send me you # so that i can call you. Thanks

P0606 This DTC is caused by an internal Engine Control Module failure. Repairs are not possible to the ECM. Sasha did the truck develop this after some type of electronic hardware change,Radio, Batteries, etc?
