Archived Low fuel pressure 2nd gen

[Texas Diesel]

History: Bought the truck used, low fuel pressure. Changed filter (dirty), no change, new LP, no change, checked the inlet screen in the fuel tank, dirty - removed screen, changed LP again, no change. 15PSI idle, 3 PSI WOT.



Supposed to leave on vacation (towing) tomorrow, any ideas?

What type of F/P gage is it?

mechanical, attached to the VP-44, tried two different gauges

i run a Edge comp and i see 15psi Idle and 6-7 psi at WOT

did you change the plug when you did the L/P?

the L/P kit comes with a new wire plug in the box

check all your grounds too

My 01 LP just plugged in. The difference between 3 PSI and 6PSI is about one or two needle widths. Perhaps I am ok based on your readings.



I Bosch 300HP injectors and a Van Aaken box.



Guess I'll just run it and pray. When I get back perhaps I'll look into another pump setup.

Ok, just seemed low



When we get back guess it's time for a pusher or ?? Any suggestions?

yeah it is low but it is just a factory F/P and was not designed to work with Mods

you could go with a pusher pump from BD power for about $150 or go with a RASP or a FASS set-up for around $600
