I just put 35+ gallons of fuel in my tank. The low fuel warning light/chime did NOT come on. Does anyone know if there is a way to check if this is a sensor problem or if the light is out?

What did your fuel gauge show? I don't like to run mine that low because I feel the sloshing lets the lift pump pull air. And that cavitation is rough on any kind of pump.

Fuel Gauge showed an 1/8, maybe a hair under. I just looked at it, the light for low fuel comes on when you turn the key so it's not a light bulb. I checked the fuses but all I could find was a fuel relay fuse under the hood, was a type of Siemens fuse. Could that be it? I would think that would be for the LP, etc. I had just had the LP replaced.

I don't know what year truck you have but mine showed about 1/8 of a tank a while back and died. I thought it was the lift pump so I replaced it. Then I did just as you did and realized that the fuel sensor and warning light didn't work. Luckily I had a warranty and had it replaced. After replacement I let it go low to check it and as I was pulling into the pump the warning light came on and it took 26 gallons. Now I know that I have 9 gallons when the light comes on. It is your fuel level sensor.
