So, my "check engine" light has been coming on intermittently and occasionally the truck will accelerate sluggishly. Took the rig to the dealer (yea I know) and all they could tell me was that the computer sensed that the Map Sensor was showing intermittent low voltage. My Banks kit plugs into the Map Sensor, so I immediately suspected a connection problem. They seem to be fine. Any other thoughts or suggestions? :{

It's not uncommon for the MAP sensor to go bad. I am finding with my Edge Comp box that the ground needs to be GOOD. If the Banks box uses an external ground, try attaching to the battery ( I connected mine at the driver's side fender with the small wire that goes directly to the battery negative)

I've been told that the MAP sensor is $68 from Cummins. Mine recently went out and put the engine in limp mode. I didnt have the time to get one from Cummins so I had to bite the bullet and pay Dodges price,$130. Total with labor was just under $300. I now own a scanner for reading codes.

MAPS voltage

Keep your old maps for it might not be bad, have some of my measurements and would be curious if the are good . Pins A/B = 10k10 ohms, A/C =11k52 omhs and B/C = 1k737 ohms. Mine are all quite close and suspect that they are all good . :(

Thanks guys

Yea, I figured I would probably have to replace it. I know exactly what BEAST2B is talking about with the bad ground. I had that problem with the ground previously but when that occurred the entire Banks gauge set would also lose power or fluctuate. I just cleaned up the ground and that seemed to fix the problem. Maybe I will just run a jumper over to the battery ground for good measure. Thanks guys. Certainly, any other comments or suggestions are welcome and appreciated! :D
