Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Low power at high throttle

Hey guys my truck just made 250,000 miles, I noticed when I was driving on the freeway I can hit 60, normally, but when I push the accelerator it seems like the power curve goes down. No smoke, and if I let off the pedal a little the power comes back. Any suggestions for a starting point for troubleshooting? Going to check it out after work. Thanks guys!

Running out of fuel pressure? Filter, OFV, etc.

Thanks I'll do the filter when I get home, if that don't do it then try the next step

Two words, Fuel Filter. Thats where I would start. I had the exact same problem recently, and a new fuel filter cured the problem!!

Right on the money! I changed out the fuel filter and it's bat out'a hell again! You guys are great! thanks for the advice hsmith and Erniek!
