yeah I was a bit suspicious too. The Bosch Gasket Kit # is DGK 121. A whole ton of metal and rubber o-rings, mostly seals, o-rings, and a couple rubber gaskets. Looks much like a carburator rebuild kit, but there are no paper gaskets... . but I don't know what it is supposed to have. Bob gave me some good tips for adjusting the pump while its apart as well, so we'll do those too.

okay, so tomorrow TJ and I are heading to Greeley to meet a gent named Brandon who works at a fuel injection shop recommended by Laser Bob of Laser Track alignment (also builds DTT trannys) in Greeley to r/r the pump, and we're going to upgrade the pump a bit with both a new throttle bushing and some tips from our own Pastor on the supply side line pressure.

Then we're dropping by Rocky Mountain Diesel in Denver to pick up a new low pressure supply line (as we had to destroy the old one to get the pump off), then on Saturday we're putting it all back together.

TJ desparately wants his truck back, one because he loves it and two because it's 4wd. See, he's driving my '93 2x4 while his 4x4 is down, and when the snow hit he tried to go to work in my rig..... and all it wanted to do was go sideways :-laf . He'd put it in neutral just to keep it from idling into the car next to him, and when the light turned green it was just about ridiculous. Soooo, he wants his 4x4 back so he can get around again... and I want my Ramcharger back in the garage so I can get MY 4x4 back. Scheesh... always somethin' huh? :D

The snow and winter weather we had on Monday was impressive - man was it cold. Everything froze, everything. And yesterday I got my heater fired up - man is that nice - garage is about 65* and will be that way all year long - sweet! :-laf

Okay, we'll post back when the r/r is done.

Mission Accomplished

Right on - got it. Went up to Greeley, got the pump serviced, we watched and he explained it all to us (the o-rings were shot bad - flat and hard), rechecked everyting, and today we reinstalled the pump, checked everything, primed the lift pump, bleed the air, and after a couple cranks - varrooom! Works great, seems to have a bit more responsiveness and power, and no leaks - yeah buddy, very cool. Feels good to have done it and now no anxiety about it. So if mine ever goes out I know what to to and where to go.

Thanks all for the help, advice, parts help, and experience. It is all much appreciated.

- Sam
