I had my antifreeze changed at the local dealer and it is green. I thought that low silicate antifreeze is a different color. Can low silicate antifreeze be green or did they fill it up with regular old "prestone"

I've seen both green & blue low-silicate anti-freeze. Only way I know you can tell is to read the label. You can't go wrong with Fleetguard.

I've had it in both colors. Last change was labeled Quaker state, and it was green. This one was not pre mixed.

I'm now using the pre mixed 50/50 Rotella ELC and this one is red-pinkish.

Should not being using the extended life orange coolant, its not the silicates that will cause problems, its the nitrates. Known to destroy seals in the 12v. Do a search.
