A good option for the back is to pull out a leaf (or get a smaller block) and add air bags. That way you get a good ride empty and you can raise/lower to your liking.

Don't know about lowering a 4X,but do know that I never would have found the oversize vehicle parking at the Sea-Tac airport if my truck was short. The oversize lot there is much easier to deal with than the parking structure, price is the same and it's just as close.

LOWERING A 4X4 2500

HI ,

I HAVE A 2500 4X4 WHICH I HAVE LOWERED , I HAVE TAKEN THE FRONT DOWN 2 INCHES WITH NEW CUSTOM MADE SPRINGS . AND I HAVE REMOVED THE REAR BLOCK AND MOUNTED THE AXLE ON THE SPRINGS . THE TRUCK SITS NICE AND LEVEL . THE VEHICLE IS NOW LOW ENOUGH TO GET INTO OUR SHORT AUSSIE CITY CAR PARKS . I HAVE INSTALLED AIR HELPER SPRINGS IN THE REAR TO HELP WHEN LOADED TO KEEP IT ALL LEVEL . I HAD A WHEEL ALIGNMENT AND THERE WAS SUFFICIENT ADJUSTMENT TO GET HER WELL ALIGNED . I ALSO REPLACED THE ORIGINAL SHOCKS WITH RANCHO ADJUSTABLES AS PER THE RECOMENDATIONS ON THIS SITE . THE REARS HAD TO BE SHORTER THAN STANDARD TO STOP THEM BOTTOMING OUT . I DO HIT THE BUMP STOPS AT THE FRONT ON A BIG AUSSIE POTHOLE .

HOPE THIS HELPS

REGARDS CONN
