I have a 2 wheel drive 2001 3500 Dually. Noticed the lower control arm bushings are starting to split on the ends, even though there is no play side to side. Trying to find some high quality replacements. Bought this truck new on my birthday Jan 16, 2001 and it only has 59K miles. But when it goes it is either pulling a 5th wheel or has a large slide in camper on the back. Any suggestions where I can buy some better than stock front end bushings?

Thank you,

Do a search on ebay for 2001 dodge ram 2wd control arms. I put some tube style upper and lower with grease fittings on the old 99. It was about the same price as getting the stock bushings for my application. I cannot remember the vendor but it was a private individual that custom made them, had poly bushings too. Something to look into anyways.

Thank you for the suggestion, VolsFan, I searched ebay as you recommended using different search words and didn't have any luck. Will keep looking!

I'm also looking to replace both upper and lower arms on my '95 with a high quality product. Or replace just the bushings. Gonna redo the whole front end this winter if things go as planned.

I've got a LMC truck catalog in front of me. Anybody have any experience with them?

I let a local repair shop install a set of Energy Suspension control arm bushings (black ones) along with all new sway bar bushings. They had to basically burn out the rubber on lower control arm bushings, but looked good when they were finished. Had it aligned and it drives great!!! Can let go of the wheel and it stays straight down the road.

Thanks may do the same thing. I continued searching threads and ran across Source Automotive and their front end parts. Nice stuff! I need a track bar and may look into their 3rd gen replacement bar.
