Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Lower left turbo bolt?

Last time I changed my turbo, I used a 15mm crows foot. Mine is now broken and I don't want to pull exhaust manifold just to change the turbo.

Any suggestions on getting in there? I'm about to go out and buy a cheapie combo to grind down. My Craftsman won't slip in there. Advice????? Mike

I've also used an offset 15mm to get there. Its been a while I feel your pain

Go to sears and buy a crooked 15/13mm wrench. Also get a short and a long 15mm wrench.

Also, very important is an "S" shaped 15/14mm wrench.



These will let you get to the not so nice turbo nuts.

Thanks for the input, I figured I was boofed when the claw broke. I was just looking for a "mickey rig" way to do it. Is there a box-end wrench that will fit that I can get on sunday? Mike

Funny how the right tool makes the job easy. The 15/13 combo is 44362. Thanks, guys. Mike

"4-15MM Bolts use a 1/2" drive with 2 extensions for the bottom right nut and a 15MM box end wrench for the other 3"

Yea DM, I got the DZ installed. It only took an hour and a half to do this morning.

The fun thing was getting that darn nut back in there. I finally did it from below, good thing I have long arms. All in all not to bad of an install. I just don't remember tightening those up that tight last time.

Next weekend I do the T/C. Look for my next post... ... How do I get the 47re/241hd off my chest? Mike
