Okay I know most people want to raise them, but my wife is 5'4" and doesn't like the climb into the cab. I have steps, but lowering a couple of inches would help. Anyone know of a lowering kit for 4x4.

I wouldn't the truck is too close to the bumpstops in the front already. but you can lower the rear w/o spending anything. All you have to do is move the spacers from under the spring pack and leave them out or put them on top of the pack(putting them on top doesn't require new U-bolts) this will lower it a little more than 1"

i too have relocated my rear spacers for a lowered level look. . i wouldn't reuse the factory round head bolts as they are a total PITA... iirc, i used 4. 5" 1/2" capscrews and some nyloc nuts to replace the oem pos round head screws... if you do move the spacers, i hope your screws come out much easier than mine did

The st model came with a 245/70-17 on it and I think they are roughly 1" shorter. That would be an expensive way to regear and get 1/2" lower! They just don't have much in 17" E rated tires. Tough to lower with that oil pan so close to that straight front axel.

I'm 5'4", and I don't have any problems getting in my truck and neither does my girlfriend... she's short, too. I even have a bad knee from being in the Army.

My solution? Teach her how to get inside. I've had to teach all my girlfriends how to get into my trucks so they don't fall and hurt themselves, especially my offroad truck which is somewhat tall and the rockers are slippery if they're wet or muddy.

I haven't had anyone complain after they pay attention to how to get in correctly.
