At last years Annual Diesel Trucking Nationals @ Raceway Park- in September, we spied the TruckRods boys from Jones Performance- cruising the pits shooting flames from 3 to 5 feet out of their stacks!!! :--)

They would cruise by and you would hear a PPPSSSSSSSSSSSSSSTT- and then POOF!! a nice 3-5 footer of fire!!

From my observations that day it looked to me like the ignitor was mounted in the top 3 inches of the stacks- then about 12 inches down the stack was the LP nozzle with lines going into truck I can only guess to the electronic gas valves and ignitor button or HOT BUTTON if you will. :D

Has anybody seen this also or am I the only one that is a garage pyromaniac ?? :-laf

Sure would be cool to shoot some flames out when at a Rally- Show- Nationals- ect. ect. :-laf

So how about it any other insight on this or facts or maybe someone knows of a kit to do this.

 :-laf :-laf

This would be way cool, would scare the crap out of the ricer boys in town. Would love to shoot two columns of fire all the way from a stop light till I'm satisfied that I'm going fast enough. Hopefully someone has done this and will enlighten us on how to accomplish this. Does it discolor the stacks any?

Jordan-

Heh Heh! ! ROFLMAO!!! They don't work that way... :D This set-up is made for show ground cruising (I. E. SLOW) I really don't think there is an ignitor strong enough to lite the LP gas with the engine under even mild accelleration short of a welding rod spark. !!! LOL would be funny though.

Really cook that PSD guy... . :-laf :-laf

I could be wrong but I remember watching a couple hot rod semi trucks throw a lot of flame when they were truck pulling. Looked really cool till there was so much smoke that an open flame couldn't burn, and then it was cool to watch the smoke.

Would be real funny for some staging lane antics!!! :-laf :-laf

As you slowly roll in towards the water box for burnout hit the button first for some  hair raising flames shooting out 5" stacks :-laf , then do nice burnout, race ect. :D

I really wouldnt support doing any kind of flame shows out on the public streets you know... ... ... ... ... . --- :-laf :-laf

Stacks REALLY can be a hoot! I can't wait to get mine done!!!

I have been kicking around the idea for some time now. Just not sure how to do it and hide the plumbing at the same time.

These boys just snuck them in from the outside of the stacks, everything looked trick- polished fittings, braided hoses, and FLAMES!!

3-5 feet out the top!!! Looked awesome!! :D

it would be very easy to hide with a box crossover setup IMHO.

I'm thinking about trying something out, just looking for a cheap source for parts...

The way I seen them was the ignitor at top- 12" braided hose to a polished LP nozzle- then more braided hose to the elect. gas valves from supply ---

They tucked the parts in as close as possible and had them mounted so you really had to look- and know what your lookin at otherwise they just got hidden from view. :D

I would LOVE to shoot flames out of my stacks at a pull! If anyone finds a good way to do this please let me know what parts, and where to ge them. Thanks!!

:-laf So..... There is 'others'... ... :-laf like me :-laf

Gonna have to check into the local propane parts supply dealer...

I WILL get back with info.

:-laf Everytime he hit it- necks turned qwickly!! I'll be showing up with a fabbed up set-up that I've been workin on in spare time (very little) . Got some good ideas on an ignitor-- still researching the gas valves... ...

PSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSST!!!!!Oo. :-laf -

Just a warning if you see me at the Diesel Nats @ Raceway Park in Sept- Don't ask me if I have a match?;) :--) :D !!!!!

Somehow I have GOT to get that setup on my truck! :D Well,... I need stacks first. :-laf

Yup! I said the same thing when I seen it too!! Drool factor #8 out of 10!!!!:)

I'm using 5" Turned Out Stacks- Put the stacks well above the roof line for you straight stack runners (roof paint might get toasty!)
