I also have an '02 and have bought a few LP's. I have always used the 3990105, and never needed the wiring harness. Good luck !

Liftpump

No, you do not need the harness. Part # 3990082 contains 3990105 & 4025182. Part# 3990105 is still a good number. Part# 3990082 is just the newest part # and is the same price. Just so you know.

lift pump

I just ordered a lift pump from Hoesli Diesel: "http://www.hoeslidiesel.com/ ". Their price is the best I've found... under $150. 00.

Got to talk with the guy while I had him on the phone about this LP thing. Seems like every Cummins ISB engine running this LP is having the same problem. Pump dies... starves the VP44... VP44 dies.

They also have a great price on fuel filters and other parts. Check-um out.

Dealer lift pumps 347. 00 Cummins 140. 00 after buying a few of these you could have paid for a RASP.

Damn, I have already replaced one lift pump. Bought it at the dealer a few months ago for 379. 00 and it is already puking. I did not know they were available from Cummins. I just figured it was a Mopar part. Why is there such a HUGE price difference? Are they the exact same part? I know the dealer usually marks up about 200% but this seems awfully high.

It is the same pump in the same box with a new label. From the dealer you will get the harness thrown in for free ;) after paying about $371.

Not to highjack the thread, but 43k on origional lp (#####105) and it is humming right along (see sig). However DO carry a spare lp and filter.
