Quickie FP Question:

At cold start-up... . FP is 4-5psi for about 1-2 minutes

3-4 minutes - FP climbs to 6-7psi

Rest of the time: 9-13psi

WOT: 5. 5-6. 5psi

I'm getting ready to sell this truck and do not want the next owner to have ANY problems with the LP at delivery.

:(

Is it covered under the 100K engine warranty ???

Either way - looks like I'll be installing one before I send it to it's new owner:rolleyes:

Thanks for the info!

I am on my third LP in 47K. All replaced under warranty. The LP is part of the emission control systems and is covered for 100K. Then I will trow it as far as I can and install F. A. S. S.

I'm going to mention the FASS System to JK - the "soon to be new owner"..... he already knows why I installed the FP Gauge!

3rd one in 47k miles... wow.

I had one completly fail at 16K..... truck wouldn't start - really upset me!

All this time, I thought it was just a bad part installed at production. .

First one began dieing a slow death and was replaced when it could only maintain 10psi at idle. Second one lasted about 3 months and began to leak from the connection port. The one that is on there now is already showing signs of slow death. When it was new it would hold 15. 5psi at idle. Now it can only hold 13. It has been on for about 6 months now and not many miles. I figure I will hit 7 by the time I am out of warranty.

Thank God for FP guage or the injection pump surely would have been toast by now.

I've had the FP gauge in for about a month now - the pressures have been what I posted - thought that anything above 5psi was ok..... but the initial starting pressures being so low were of concern..... so I posed this question.

I'm gonna have to keep tabs on this issue with the new owner and get him to:

1. Build a relationship with the dealer :-(

2. Install the FASS when it's 100,001 miles are on it. :)
