Need new tires and want to stay in the same size (265/75/16E) Load range E in any all-terrain type is rare. Currently have Cooper A/T's and they will be dead at 25,000 miles! Any thoughts on the M/S as a somewhat of off-road capability. It does come in load range E.

I have the Michelin's M/S series on now and am very happy with them. I bought them used and have put 15,000 miles on them and they still look like the day I bought them. If the were available in larger sizes I'd be happy to own another set.

They are excellent in the snow, but you don't have to deal with that. As far as off road, I been in small runs of loose sand with them and they made it through it in 2wd, with the usual axle wrap.

I have a set and love them. However. I would not consider them and off-road/ mudding tire. I might look into the LTX AT if you wanted to do much off-road work.
