Lubricate outer tie rod ends on 4x2s

Is the owners manual incorrect when it states "Lubricate outer tie rod ends" without the '(4x4)' specific reference? I've done a search already and found one reference in 2005 to 2003 4x2 that stated there are no lube points. Is this still the case?

I have a 05 and there are none on mine.

I can't find any zerk fittings on my 2008 4x2 so the owners manual must be wrong. It should have had the '(4x4)' specific reference.
