Has anyone used Lucas oil or any of their products? I saw a demonstration at a recent parts shop of their gear oil. Seemed pretty good. They also have oil suitable for Diesel eng. applications. Just curious if anyone had tried.

I've been running Lucas oil in my transmission and tranfer case for 3 years without any problems. transmission held together at 230*+ while pulling through Arizona last summer. I'll also put it in my rear end when I get around to rebuilding it.

Just food for thought... ... .

In my opion, (for what that's worth) if you could enhance the performance of any lubricant with an additive, is the lubricant really good enough to begin with? If I'm not mistaken, isn't Lucas a petroleum based product? Yeah, I'm a synthetic man.

A good quality oil is always a good thing. But, you can enhance a oils ability with proper use of some additives. I use "UNIGLIDE" in my rigs. I use it in all drivetrain components. In fact, since I treated my engine with it, My valves have not gone out of adjustment for the last two services.
