I've got a Mag-Hytec rear end cover on order from Geno's, and I would really like to try this stuff. It's 75-90 and I called Lucas and they said it would be rated at something around a GL-9 - they said it was bulletproof.

Does anyone know why I couldn't use this in my rear end?

Thanks for the help.

I have always used the regular Lucas oil stabilizer in my front and rear ends. 100%---that stuff is at least 75-90.

I was eyeballin' the synthetic stuff though---more than likely I will use it when I get to the point that I have to change out the diffs.

Do you tow heavy? I believe a heavier lube is recommended for heavy towing. The only other thing may be the need for a friction modifier if you have the LSD.
