I need to check something with all of you who have purchased the Lucerix X mount mirrors. Are any of you having vibration problems? Mine were fine when I initially installed but over time, the vibration started. They've been great about it and sent me a replacement passenger side mirror but my dirvier's side is now noticiably much worse than it was - especially compared to the new passenger side. Are any of you having the same problems?

Dodge I would imagine does wind tunnel tests to know exactly where to put the mirrors without having them ride in turbulent wind coming off the body. Any other design (aftermarket) of mirrors might put them into the dirty wind and cause them to vibrate. I know that the addon extend a mirrors will vibrate because they're riding in the dirty wind.

Something as simple as a bug shield can cause the mirrors to vibrate as different bumpers and other add ons do sometimes.

Makes one think about how many and what type of add ons would cause a reduction in fuel mileage.

When I purchased mine, I had the vibration on the passenger side and they replaced the mirror. That solved my problem. I had tracked the problem to the detent that hold the mirrors out and allows them to fold in. When the mirrors are out for driving there should be no play in those arms. I MEAN NO PLAY. Grab the mirror head and see how much resistance it takes to move the arm back and forth. If the movement is more than about 1/16, you'll have the vibration. Now, with that, Lucerix says the mirrors have to be sent back because there is no repair you can do. Well, before I sent my passenger side back, I popped off the cover that is over the detent/swing arm hardware. Inside there were 4 torx screws that hold the tension on the swing arm. Two were loose so I snugged them up. That tightened the arm and most of the vibration disappeared. What was left was shock from bumps. The new one came in, it was tight, I installed it and have had no more problems. It's a PITA, but they are guaranteed for life so worst case is you send them back. Just tell Mark to check the replacement and make sure it's tight before they ship it to you.
