After reading all the good things about Lucerix X-Mount mirrors for towing here, I decided to order a pair on Mon June 11- paid full retail price of $435 which was immediately charged to my credit card.

Got a note June 20 that the mirrors had been shipped Fri June 15, but they neglected to include the mounting instructions. It took several phone calls to finally get the instruction sheets faxed to my workplace.

Received the mirrors Fri June 22. The passenger side was broken in shipment because one of their Bozos opened the seperate box for that side and just dropped in the two 4" spot mirrors on top of the glass. Rattling around in the shipping football game broke the mirror glass.

Called Lucerix to inform them of the breakage, and was informed that they only ship on Fridays and that I had missed that Fri. shipment and would have to wait a week to get the replacement shipped.

Should have received the replacement Fri. July 6.

Nothing shows up- maybe the holiday screwed up shipping?? Called today, Tues. July 10- where's my replacement mirror? "Oh, we're sorry but we missed shipping it. We'll get it out this Friday"

Meanwhile, they've charged my credit card for the one replacement mirror, until the broken one is returned. That's OK, but with their foot dragging that $215 charge goes thru a monthly cycle on my card @ 12% interest.

I am about ready to send EVERYTHING back and demand my money back. What good is a lifetime warranty on a product when you can't get any service on it??

Would I recommend Lucerix to anyone??

HELL NO

seems to me that if they missed the shipping because of their own fault, they need to ship it on an off day at their cost.

Couldn't blame you for being mad enough to send it all back. Keep us posted.

I feel your pain...

Same here. I recieved one of the first sets. They own them again. It took 2 months AFTER they recieved them back to get my card credited.

There were a few problems with the mirrors: wouldn't tilt down far enough, mounting stud hit the adjuster switch, instructions didn't cover the differences for a '94 ("We never installed them on a '94. "), there is more. After several calls from me (non returned) they decided that they would send the original mirrors back to me after fixing the bolt and finding nothing else wrong (shake and not enough down tilt). I asked about the shaking issue and they replied "we weren't aware of that". After the several calls, 3 e-mails and a 2 page letter included in the returned box (did I mention the pictures?) I decided that they were too clueless to deal with. I told them to keep them and credit my card.

I am still considering which new mirrors to install. I'll wait and see what the new ones look like this fall...

They do not answer emails either

Did your mirrors come with the reflectors/ marker lights as shown on the web sight?

Update

After raising holy he@@ with Lucerix, they overnight shipped the replacement mirror at their cost. They also promised a price break/credit on my card for all the trouble... . we will see.

Spaceace- nope, no reflective tape on leading side.

I know some may not like the looks of Power Vision mirrors, but their customer service is very very good. I had a problem with a mirror and they sent a new one out UPS 2nd day air immediately.

Something must have changed up there. The customer service I received was top notch and everything shipped when they said it would. I didn't receive spot mirrors with mine but they credited my card for the cost. On the bolts being too long, I think they are working with a moving target on these trucks. The bolts they shipped with mine were too short so I picked up some longer ones at NAPA and they worked fine. Sorry you had a problem. Mark up there was good at solving my little issue.

No bolts, studs.

They told me that because of the pictures I sent, they were going to change to bolts. This delayed shipment on the early mirrors. All the neede was 1 bolt on the driver's side. Like I said, they don't listen too well.

I dont have these mirrors but i have to say, what is this once a week shipping deal? i would not even deal with a company that charges me if i order on a monday then ships my stuff 5 DAYS LATER?. If they told me that i would tell them either DO NOT charge my card till my order ships, or ship my order the NEXT DAY.

I wonder if Lucerix is a susidiary of Banks????

Thanx for the heads up guys! I was looking at ordering a set of those for my truck. Got me spooked now... ... ... .

Got the Lucerix's mounted up Sunday. They went on fairly easy, with little problems. Power adjusting and heat work good.

Only modification necessary was to hacksaw off the protruding end of the long bolt on the passenger side mirror to get the door panel to clip back on.

My slide in camper extends 9 inches past the side of the truck, and the mirror doesn't quite reach out far enough to look directly down the side of the camper. The camper is about half way into the glass. You have to aim it outboard slightly to see past your rear end- but it is MUCH better than the CIPA clip on mirrors I WAS using, those things were so small I could hardly spot the trailer behind me!

Guys, I got mine when they said I would and I like them. No doubt they've screwed up here but it's still a good product and I've had nothing but good experience with their customer service. I felt like a Beta tester with one of the first sets shipped. I like 'em.
