I'm looking for different mirrors for my truck that will let me keep the power/heated option. Please tell me about these. Do they have a web site or phone #? Thanks

Do a search on Magna Mirrors. There are quite a few of us are waiting on the heated version. MM manufactures the DC and Ferd OEM mirrors. The Dodge MM's are the 2003 mirror heads with 2nd gen mounting. WWCD2 had a gp on the unheated electric MM back in Dec.

Anybody installed the new Lucerix X mount mirrors. I contacted them this morning and was told the heated version will be on the market withing 60 days but they can be ordered now. Just want to make sure there is now extreme vibration on these mirrors before I buy. I contacted Magna Mirrors and they are still "testing" their heated version and won't put them on the market for a couple more months. I need some real mirrors.

This is the text of an email I received from Lucerix yesterday concerning the heated mirrors. The website is at the bottom.

Dear Mr. Reagan,

Yes, the heated versions will be in stock by the end of February, in limited
quantities for the first 60 days or so. You will be able to place your order
by the end of this week on the Web site to guarantee one of the units from
the first shipment. Price will be US$399. 00 for the electric remote heated
version.

I'm curious as to what these mirrors look like. My Y2K had the smaller mirrors, and were heated and electric. My '01 has the big fold-out trailer tow mirrors, which of course are not electric (making it a pain when I flip them) and not heated (which suck in Oklahoma during ice storms!). What do these Lucerix look like?

Soler, Go to www.automirrorsource.com They have pictures. Looks kinda like the Phord mirrors. Supposedly both are flat so a convex mirror will have to be added. I received an email this morning that said the heated version would be on the website by Friday (tomorrow) evening.

Mr Reagan, I have to agree with Mr Oler in regard to the site. I went there and tried to use the search command to find mirrors to no avail. was ready to scream with in 5 minutes.

This site mentions flat or dual glass options and also looks like the mirror has a built in directional - anybody have details about these two things?

I received mine and started the installation. The top bolt hole for the drivers side was stripped from the factory, probably improperly tapped. They were good and sent the replacement right out. I'm waiting on it. The bolt they sent was too short and I bought a 2" but it still wouldn't catch. Had to get it in the sunlight to see what the problem was. They are beefy mirrors and plug right into the factory harness. Will let you know how they are when I finish. I already have some tech tips on the install so I'll post them when I'm through.

I get my X-mounts tomorrow and will let you know how the installation goes. I'm sure they'll be better than the slide on's I was using to pull my fifth wheel.
