Did anyone hear about the tragedy here in Denver on Sat? A family of three was traveling east on I-70 just getting into town when they went under the C470 overpass and a 40 ton steel girder fell from the bridge that was being widened. They were in a Durango and the girder fell at the exact instant when they were going under it. Apparently they never even saw it coming. Witness' said the driver didn't even hit the brakes. It cut the entire roof off from the bottom of the pillars up. The rest of the Durango continued about 200 feet and coasted to a stop in the median. they were a dad, mom and two year old daughter that all died together. Absolutely horrific. Sorry to sidetrack this but it was horrible and I feel for the relatives. The family had apparently moved here from NY to raise their daughter here. I hope they never saw it coming and at least they were together.
