lug nut size

Hey guys what size are my lug nuts?

03 QC 2500 4x4

I am off shore right now. But my tires should be in on Saturday. I wanted to have allthe right tools when I got home.

By the way Sears has the 315's for 147. 99. Then bring that to Wal-Mart and have them price match. After adding the road hazard lifetime rotate and balance Wal-Mart was $100. 00 cheaper fopr the same priced tire. BUT they wont install the larger tires on the truck. But Hey for $100. 00 I can install them on the truck.

Nah - every vehicle is a mixture of SAE and metric bolts and nuts. I've been using the same 15/16" deep impact socket on all my lug nuts since '95. Fortunately, some things never change.

I use a 24mm socket.

I've been able to use both metric (24 mm) and SAE (15/16 or so) on my lug nuts. Is it possible they make them just right so you can use either one?

24mm is close enough to 15/16" (24mm is . 9448", 15/16 is . 9375") that it will still grab - only . 007" difference. But - since the 15/16" socket is smaller, and still fits, it's the better choice

Are the lug nuts the same on the steel wheels and the OEM aluminum ones?
