I need some help. I just bought a set of 3rd gen wheels and I need to get lug nuts to fit the 01 ram. Do I need to get 3rd gen lug nuts or 2nd gen lug nuts? And is there a place other than the dealer to get them? I am sure they will be spendy. Thanks -Jason

I have an 02 that I put an 06 factory set of aluminum wheels on using same lugs off of the 06. I've had them on over a year. They've worked great so far.

The lug nuts off my 02 were identical to the 05 my wheels came from. Gold colored 15/16 acorn with 9/16 stud.

Any good sources for the lug nuts. I don't have factory wheels on my 01 and the new rims & tires don't come with them so I have to get some. -Jason

You know I was never mistaken for a rocket scientist. I bought the rims and tires on ebay. Didn't even think to look for lug nuts on there. I am the current high bidder on a set right now. Thank you guys for giving me a smart pill. -Jason

I have 17" 06 polished alloy take offs on my 01 2500 and i just used the stock lugs from my factory 16" alloys and have'nt had any problems. I have the center caps for the 17's on them and their tight, i have'nt had any problem with them coming off. As far as tires im running 33x12. 50x17 cooper stt's with the d25 springs and they only rub when at full lock. Hope this helps.

Thanks Orange. My problem is I don't have factory wheels on my 01. I sold the lug nuts with the rims. I called DC today just to see what they cost. They quoted me $13. 16 PER NUT!!!! no kidding. I think they were looking up the wrong thing. That would be $400 + for 32 lug nuts. -Jason
