I just bought some centerline wheels and am wondering what is the size of the lug nut I need. My lug nuts will be exposed so i need some chrome ones that aren't open topped so what length nut will I need?

Thanks!

JARichard - gorilla makes both chrome and stainless, with lifetime warranties. They are quality units - just thought I'd point you in that direction. One call will easily get you the proper thread size and length etc.

I've been using Gorilla locks on my wheels for years, without the slightest hint of a problem, including Gorilla's on my Centerline's for the past 7 years. But I must admit, while the Gorilla's are good locks (they appear chrome, btw), they aren't an entirely theft-proof solution. I had to remove a wheel once without the key. It took a while longer, but it was possible (I won't explain here for potential would-be thieves).

I put the acorn bulge style on mine in the 9/16" variety. The actual length of the lug is something of a personal preference issue... though your preference may force your need to have thin-walled socket for tire changes. :p

I think the total cost on the lugs, locks, etc was somewhere around $40.

McGard. Forget all the others, they don't compare.

When it comes to price, it is true that the others don't compare. Though I find it hard to "forget all the others" when McGard is leading the race for most expensive lug nuts in the world.

After all... they are just lug nuts.

To those that have factory aluminum wheels, are the lug nuts that came on the stock aluminum wheels the same as what comes on the chrome plated steel wheel?

I'm just curious, as I originally ordered my truck with the chrome plated steel wheels and then decided I wanted the polished aluminum wheels... . it was too late to change the order, so the dealer agreed to swap the steel for aluminum when the truck came in and they used the same lugs (I think) that came with the steel wheels. I have checked the torque several times and they have remained tight.

Call Summit Racing and Jegs... see if they have stock. Also check NAPA... they've worked miracles before.

I have always loved Summit, but have recently noticed that Jegs have started advirtising here. Might Try Jegs first. Support the TDR and all. :)

I'm getting my new wheels tomorrow, and will need lugnuts... gonna check my local speed and performance shops today...

Jegs and Summit NO-GO!!

I called Gorilla-Auto yesterday. They suggested a PN 91198XL or 91198XLHT.

NOBODY can get either one for 3 weeks. So, then i started calling every one and his or her brother. No one has these damn nuts of any brand for about 3 weeks.

I am furious

99% sure they are the same, as they only have one part number for the wheel locks nuts that fit out trucks, so that indicates to me there is only one part number for the regular wheel lug nuts
