out of business

I am seeing if anyone is pleased or not with their large 500hp clutch. The clutch I have now is starting to slip and I am needing an upgrade. I am fixing to add some more goodies on to what I have. I just want to know if it can hold up to what it advertises or not and for how long?

thanks daniel

I slipped mine once when I first got it, even though I broke it in according their instructions. Now it seems to hold fine. It is grabbier than I would've liked.

Mine is holding quite well in our RV towing use - my HP isn't anywhere near 500 (see sig) - and yeah, there is an occasional tendency to chatter from a dead stop, but even the guys with other (much higher priced!) brands make the same comment.

I'm quite happy with mine - and even HAPPIER with the $400 or so it saved me compared to the competition! ;) :D

I have one but can't really comment on how it holds up to higher horsepower levels yet, my truck is basically stock. I do know it is very grabby in reverse which I am not crazy about. I can't slip it with the HO motor and the pedel does feel good though... Andrew

I have had mine in for about 6 months and it seems to be just fine. It did slip some in the break in period which is normal. I have put 520/1245 through it quite a few times. If I bang 4th gear I can get it to slip just a tad then it locks up and does just fine. I now have my twins in and it seems to be holding up just fine. I will be dynoing in Jan. to see where I am at. So far I like it. I dont know how long it will last we will just have to wait and see.

I just changed mine back to SB d/d. Peter sent me a new clutch and it seems to work great. I would also like to thank peter for the great service. His service is second to none. My luk wouldnt hold with the new found power. I could thottle through it in 4th,5th and 6th gear in low power mode. We will see how it hold on the 15th.

Keep in mind that NONE of the more aggressive clutches like excessive play in the driveline, U-joints, center support bearing, etc. , and especially when using reverse against a load...
