Hello all, I was wondering if anyone out there has had any experience with the new Luk cermametalic (sp) clutch. My stock clutch is really hurting at this point, so i know she is making good power :D . I know most of you guys are running the southbends, but im an underdog kind of guy. I only tow occasionally so thats not a real big problem. Just looking for some been there done that experience before i go there.

Thanks,

Andy

I decided to go with the Luk's after Joe Donnelly recomended it and he is running one in his new Dodge. I rode in his truck the other day and it grabs just a bit with the engine idleing. Any engine speed above idle, no grab. I have one on the way for my truck. Sounds like a good clutch.

I am in the same boat, looking for a clutch, but on a budget. I have heard great things about the LUK. Hopefully they hold up. Russ

I installed a luk clutch i a 1st gen that went 520hp and 1270trq. So far it holds. Time will tell.

Damn! Thats a pretty hefty amount of power being thrown at that clutch. Might have to look into thee Luks before I use my spare(free :D ) Centerforce Dual Friction. What is the price tag on one of them Luks?

Not suppose to quote prices here, but it is about half the Southbend... but Southbend includes a flywheel or at least they did for my truck with the higher price.

The only reason i tried a luk is because i stock duel mass upgrades and do alot of clutches on powerstrokes. I install alot of peters clutches on fords and dodges and they work great. Not starting a war, just trying something different. Where ever you buy a clutch dont forget customer service. Southbends service is second to none.

thanks for the info guys, keep it coming. I was wondering if anyone has had any bad experiences with luk. I am also wondering if anyone has had any longevity issues with this particular clutch. thanks
