Any one have the Lukes Link hit the front pumpkin cover? The cover is stock, I noticed the rub mark after I came back from the camping trip of the season with the Bigfoot.

The mark is about the size of a dime. Any comments or solutions. I like the link so taking it off isn't an option.

My LL rubbed the front diff--pretty bad. I talked to Luke and followed his suggestion to jack up frame to get better clearance to use an angle grinder; still rubbed. The big problem for me was getting at it adequately to grind and also being able to tell just where to grind.

I ended up taking the track bar off; then I could both see where on it was hitting the diff. and could get at it to grind. I really had to take off quite a bit to solve the problem. I think it worth the effort.

Vaughn,

Thanks for the fix. I'll have to pick up a new disk for the grinder tomorrow and try this on Friday. Atleast it's a simple solution for the problem.

Think this problem applies only to '98 12 valves and newer 24s. I've noticed the track bar geometry is just a little different on them.

Mine hits the diff cover, I don't recall the size of the mark but I can easily feel it through the steering wheel during suspension travel. I am pretty happy with the product but I pretty sure I will buy the DT trackbar sometime this summer.
