Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Luke's link rubbing on axle cover

I was under the truck yesterday, and discovered a rub mark (fairly deep) on the front axle cover. I looks like when the suspension is fully loaded, the link can contact the cover. Has anyone had this happen, and how can I fix it? The truck is a 2000.

Fairly common problem. The instructions state that a dimple may need to be placed in the front cover for clearance. That's what I had to do to mine.

Put the original cover back on. Not a thing wrong with keeping the original.
