2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Lukes Link

My right tie rod end is loose. I know the right thing to do is to replace it, but money is a little tight (going to college to be a diesel tech ). I was reading that the Lukes Link can also be used on tie rod ends. Does this really work and can it be used on a worn end? Thanks

Im sure a tie rod end is cheaper and safer to replace. you cant put a band aid over a bullet wound

Worked for me. Fairly easy to install just follow the instructions. Company provides great customer service. Be advised that if you have to much wear in the stud of the tie rod then the Luke's Link won't work.

It is kind of temporary but go ahead and use it. I just replaced my Luke's Link patch with a NAPA (lifetime warrantee) right tie rod.



My old tie rod and Luke's is for sale here. It will need a couple washers added to the Luke's to tighten it back up but it's in decent shape.



After the replacement you shouldn't have to align it, I checked mine after the change and the tolerance on the parts is very tight. The toe-in stayed right on.
