I have a 3rd gen t-bar & DSS on my 99. My brother wants to upgrade his track bar, but don't want to do the 3rd gen because of $$. He is looking at the Lukes Links to install in his stock track bar. Anyone use them? Hard to install? Do they work? Do they last?

They do tighten the steering up, but I have to replace the internal parts every so often. I am working on making my own track-bar, so I guess I am not completely happy with my Lukes Link.

i have been through about 4 or 5 of those dang things!! i finally went with the luke's link and am VERRYY satisfied with it!!! usually after a few thousand miles, you can turn the truck just right, and pop! there goes the stocker. after putting this thing on, im still on the same one! its definatelly worth it! and if it does go bad, just get the rebuild kit for a small amount of $$, and your back on the road, instead of spending 250-300 bucks on those bars. and yes, they are simple to put on.

I also have a luke link setup and am happy with the results and since I did not have to pay for a new track bar it puts a little extra money in your pocket, but I had mine put on along with a DSS while I was getting an alignment. I have a friend that put one on hisself and said that it was not to bad of an install and the instructions and easy to understand. Also they do loosen over time but the kit comes with spaces to tighten it back up and sometime the insides needs to be replaced.
