Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) M-80 under hood!

Got onto a freeway on ramp the other day and put my foot into the go pedal. I accelerated well to around 60 mph and showed 35 lbs boost, when it sounded and felt like something detonated under the hood on the passenger side. The engine seemed to die for around two seconds and then ran fine for the rest of the day. I thought I blew a boost hose from the turbo or intercooler or something, but I still get 25 or more lbs on my gauge, so I doubt it was a hose. ANY IDEAS!
