Jeff, what time did you have in mind for meeting at the Giant? I am gonna have at least one maybe two co-pilots riding with me so i would like to know what time you're thinking about so i can plan acoordingly. How far is that Giant store once you exit the turnpike? I am like 1hr 40mins or so away. Let me know and i'll try to work everything out so i can meet up with you. Can't wait until next Sat. What time will drags start? How far, in miles estimated time, from Kauffmans to drag strip?

Just to let you guys know, several of us from the Mid-Atlantic Ford Diesel Club will be there. (About 6 confirmed so far, I think).



I live in West Chester, so I'll cruise on out the turnpike. Prolly get there around 9am or so.

Hey Doug I was wondering if the drag racing is closed to other than TDR members,cause a friend wants to follow me down ,he has a Ford Lighting . If he comes up with 30. 00$can he drag race. Merv

Headcount,we chatted about that today. I am not totally sure to be quite honest. I have about 41 from here posted interest and about another 20 non-posting TDR members who may show,along with a dozen Ford owners and not counting those from DTR who have expressed interest(about 6-8 or so). There has been a large amount of hits here(near 4500) and alot on the other boards so interest may be high,its a wait and see deal I guess.

I finally just got my update to go and post over at your site and will drop a note in for your group. Look forward to seeing you all again. Maybe you could enlighten me how to arouse the Ford guys to show more interest. We get the same group,a fine bunch they all are,but it would be nice to see some others,I just can not figure out how to get them to understand this is a fun thing not a attitude deal(unless its beating up on Sled Puller,Jetpilot or Johnboy. . LOL).

Andy, I'm in the SAME predicament. I have been having trouble getting some of my members interested. A couple have family conflicts that day, but there are several of us that are really looking forward to this.

7:30am at the Giant off of 15 should not be a problem. I am heading to my buddy's house in a little bit to go over the game plan for next Sat. If there is a problem with that time i will let you know. As of now consider it a go. I figure if i leave by 6am at the latest i should be there around 7:30 to meet you. Drag races start at 4 pm on Saturday and will run until 8 pm. Distance looks to be around 60 miles with a drive time of 90 minutes or so... ...

Here are the track rules for racing this year at Fall Brawl 2003 so plan accordingly.





All trucks must meet IHRA safety standards. Here is a

short list of minimums.



All trucks must have a radiator catch can, all wheel lugs, battery

hold down, seat belts. In short, no unsafe trucks.



If your truck runs 13. 99 or faster you must also

have drive shaft loop or loops.



If you run aftermarket wheels you need long wheel studs



If you run 11. 49 and faster you must have a roll bar.



As a driver you must have long pants, real shoes and socks,

t-shirt to the middle of the arm.



At 13. 99 seconds you are required to wear a Snell 95

approved helmet.



At 11. 49 seconds you are required to have a SFI Jacket.

Well just got back from the rained out Epping NH races Anyway it looks like there will 15-20 New England folks attending this year! The drag races are going to be a blast and the dyno should prove interesting... ... As I understand things there are quite a few guys showing up with new mods to show off for everyone

Here is a social plan for everyone a group of us are planning to meet up at Bill's restaurant in Hummelstown at 6:30 am for breakfast. Consider this an invite for everyone to attend and then convoy over to Kauffmans to start the event. Bill's is located at the square in Hummelstown, address is 8 West Main Street, Hummelstown PA.
