TDR MEMBER
With the next event looming just around the corner I've been chatting with Jstyer and Wiredawg about a get together before it,,So here we go gang,Saturday April 6th at Wiredawgs for the meeting starting around 1-2 pm,,This will allow those who may have to put some time in at work a chance to make it,,Next thing we need to decide for that day is do we want to a covered dish cookout or try to go as a group to eat,,My vote is to burn some burgers and dogs on the grill,I think we can cook better than the restuarants,,This will enable us to go over membership stuff(like dues, website, etc)and get updated on other events we have coming up,,Is time ok or do we need to move it a little later,,Lets hear it gang, who is in and what do we want to bring... . Andy

Meeting

Sounds good. I was going to call in my reservation for 4/26 & 27, but I'll just do it in person when we're there.

John StyerOo.

Please post the address or directions to Wiredogs again. Thanks. Also, FYI, I just sent an email to the MD TDR list and got 5 rejections (bad email addresses). I thought I would post the TDR handles of the people that got rejected so that they can send their new email addresses in. Here they are: Jeepthing ("users disk quota exceded"), MoparMan62, Kollmer, 46Mech. There's one more but his TDR handle is not listed on our email list and I don't want to post any personal info here such as his real name or non-working email address. If you aren't getting any email from the list it may be you!

Thanks,

Dave.

Map Link

Howdy Fellow Rammers:

I just sent everyone an e-mail on the MD-TDR map links and website links. Below is the link directions and campground info.

I'm like Hammer and vote to cookout. I've got my big Webber gas grill and my charcoal grill. Bring beast to cook, some drinks, folding chairs and we have the ingredients for a fun visit.

Hope we have a goood turnout

Hey guys I might be able to attend:)

now can anyone tell me the approximate driving time from Harrisburg to Wiredawgs place? Just trying to get an idea of how much time to allow.....

It should be a great time!

Doug

About 2.5 hours

Hey Jet Pilot:

Takes about 2. 5 hours. I have a good friend up there I visit 2 or 3 times a year. PM me if you need specific instructions,

Wiredawg

Durnit, durnit, durnit,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Hey Folks,

It looks like work schedule is gonna make me miss this one. :(

But, we hope to make some future ones. If anyone is going to Pigeon Forge in May, I guess I'll see you there. :D

Come early!

Fellow MD-TDR members:

I recommend folks who want to work on trucks come early (0800 ish) so we can get a head start. Changing out injectors takes 2-3 hour and we'llsee how long replacing/moving a lift pump takes. I have a 19mm crows foot wrench to let you put the torque wrench on the injectors. I have instructions still from my 275s and I have factory manuals on '96 and 2000 trucks. Bring cardboard or plastic tarp to put und trucks while we operate.

These work sessions would be cool to schedule on the front-end of our meetings.

Post here or PM me if your are interesested in working on, watching and or helping to work on trucks and want to come early.

See ya ,

Wiredawg

Jetpilot,,Should take you about the 2. 5 hrs that Wiredawg quoted depending on how much traffic we encounter slipping thru Baltimore and going south on 301,,Its not that hard to find ron's place as long as you do not let me lead the way(I have been known to lead some members off in the incorrect direction a time or two and even have given a tour of some wharehouse districts on the way),,I'll put some simplified directions from the north up later(yes they are good, trust me,i've already flew past the campground once it will not happen again),,Since its cookout time,I'll make sure I bring along some burgers/dogs and drinks ,,I'll not be able to make the work session unless I get in from out west early enough,if I do not I'll be there for meeting time,,Make sure the grill is gassed and ready wiredawg,I'm ready for some springtime burger burning,,See ya then Andy

Route from Central PA Area

Ok here's the route for those coming from Central PA area to Wiredawgs---

--I-83 south towards Baltimore

--Turn West on I-695 and go all the way around to I-97 South

--I-97 South to Route 3 South

--Follow Route 3 south till you cross under Route 50/301(at this point Rte 3 changes to Rte 301 south)

--Follow Route 301 South to Route 4 and exit onto Route 4 East

--Exit at Wayson's Corner(Rte 408) exit(this exit is approx only 2 miles or so after getting onto Rte 4)

--Top of the ramp turn left

--Go a SHORT distance and turn left onto Sands Road

--Duncan's is about a . 5-1 mile back on the right

Anyone who is going from up here wants to convoy or ride let me know and we'll see if we can get it set up,,See ya then... Andy

P. S. -Anyone who wants to ride down to see where M. I. R is we can do it from there easy, its about a hour more down 301

Food Update

I'm gonna cook up some of my bodacious baked beans for our little get together.

Had a Great Time!

Fellow MD-TDR members:

Thanks for coming by. As always, it's great to get together and visit. We had a very impressive line-up of trucks and enjoyed cooking out. What a great bunch of folks we have in our chapter.

Everyone take good care and see ya on the 27th.

Ron & Viv

Weather was shaky,but,company was great!!

Well it seems like even knarly weather can not put a damper on a good time,,With a cold northwest wind a blowin there was even a injector install done,,Somehow though,I think Kenny was smilin all the way home and I certainly hope he did not remove too much of those new hides on the back,,Ron & Viv are very gracious hosts and I myself enjoy the trips to his humble abode( a sincere thanks from me to them),,Its a shame some others could not make it,but, there is always next time,,With M. I. R. just around the corner and pretty well set up I'll now begin to get our next meet(B. O. M. B. session/cookout)setup,,After Budds Creek I'll get the post up for it,,This is getting better all the time and hope more can make the next one,you guys do not know what your missing,,See Ya's at the Creek... Andy

:) :D  Is about all I can say. Ron thank you so much for your help, tools and time. I smiled and smoked the whole way home. Hammer I do not think these tires will burn off. I have put over 40K on them with plenty of tire spinning and they still look new. I am sorry I will not be able to make it to MIR, but I will help with the next wrench session. Oo. Oo. Oo. Ken

Sorry I couldn't make, but sometimes work ws to fal in there too. Wiredawg gave me the scoop on the injector install, sounds like someone is very happy with their ride!!!

I won't make the MIR meet either, but looking forward to what ever is after that.
