I love the look of the BFG and Toyo. What have you experienced as to driveability (shutter, noise, vibration etc)? How about noise, wear, and mpg loss? thanks, Doc

i ran the bfg's and got maybe 25k. they were d rated and not very good with heavy loads. my toyo's are the best tire under heavy load ive ever bought. i also have a 1/4" deep cut in one and they are still fine. will get 35-40k miles out of this set. down side is i lost 1-2mpg depending on what truck(ive had these tires on 3 trucks)

I have the Toyo MT's 295/70 and was very surprised at how little weight was required to balance a tire that size. They run very smooth and surprisingly quiet for an MT tire.

Still pretty new so can't comment on wet or snow traction. Mpg's have not changed from the 33/12. 50 Dick Cepek's I was running.

Overall I like it but I think the decision to buy was kinda midlife for the looks vs function. Their 285/70R17 "AT" 126S tire would serve my needs better and I would trade somebody if given the chance.

Another tire I like is the Nitto Dura Grappler. Snow covered highways is when I use 4x4 so no real need for the MT but... it does look cool for an old fart.

I'm running Cooper MT 265 70 17 LR E on my dually and have been really impressed. They have 45,000 on them right now and are wearing great I think I'll get another 20,000 out of them. I had tried some Maxxis Buckshot Mudders in LR D and they were too soft on the front. Just another one to look at.

I have hankook RTO3 315/70/17. I like them. Good traction, some noise, not sure on mileage. I get 13 to 17 mpg hand cal. But my trucks 4x4 and 410s. Will be looking for a bigger rim next time I need tires maybe a 18x9 or 18x10. Gonna stay with 35s.

I am running the Toyo M/T's.

I have 40K on them now and they are about done. Maybe another few thousand miles depending on weather and what trips I plan on taking.

They are smooth and drive great.

I have 35 " Toyo M/T's. Not bad on noise and the ride is smooth. I have about 35K on the rear with maybe another 10-15K to go. I had to replace the front went my ball joints went bad. When that happened, the tires went in a hurry. They've got me out of whatever I've gotten into both mud and snow. Plus they're E rated.

I ran the BFG A/T's in the past. Great traction and good look but I feel you need a little sturdier tire under these heavy trucks.

I just put toyo mt 285 75 17 on and i love them. They are the perfect size and not too wide. I don't know about snow traction yet, they are a great all roud tire. If u don't plan on off roading alot u could go with the at also. Yes i was also very suprized at how little weight they took to balance, they are a well built tire. But they are pricy!!

I had the Cooper Discover STT on my last truck. This is very similar in my opinion to the BFG M/T. The Coopers were VERY loud. They did balance well and ran down the road good. I had the truck for 5 months and all was good except the awful noise. Good luck!!

I like my 35" toyos. They wear real flat and smooth, tote a load very well and are not very noisy. I have about 30 thousand on this set and they've about had it I'm very pleased with them. I've had BFG M/Ts on the last 2 trucks and they seemed to be harder on the steering. The tires on the front wore rouned and the rear wore in the middle. They did however pull better in the mud than the Toyos but not much.
