HHhuntitall, The beauty of the EB process is that the welding penetration is infinitely variable. I've made some welds that you had to view under a microscope to see the cross section penetration. The HAZ in absolutely minimal with no distortion.

I dont know how the multiple locking lugs are machined. With the CNC equipment available, today. I would think, its a piece of cake?
